We arrived at The Parking Spot and the shuttle was in our row and it was so easy to jump on and ride to the airport. One thing about flying later in the day is that the lines are fairly short. Checked the luggage and got through TSA quickly thanks to PreCheck. We had enough time to grab an Auntie Anne’s pretzel before boarding.
It was such a relief to get on the plane and actually move. I had hoped to have a cocktail, but then Amy reminded me that there was no alcohol in steerage. I was very surprised then to hear them say that there was alcohol and so I ordered a Bloody Mary. Asked whether they took Apple Pay or they needed a card? The flight attendant say neither and then asked if I wanted a single or double. Can’t beat getting comped for 2 drinks.
It was a decent flight with just a bit of turbulence as we went through clouds above Pittsburgh until we got to some smooth sailing and then over the Carolinas. Read a bit and dozed for a few minutes and it was time to land. 
Really couldn’t see much of Miami as we landed, but the sunset was nice.
We walked and walked and walked to baggage claim and then to the pickup place for our hotel shuttle. The Miami Airport is definitely huge and congested.
We waited about 25 minutes for the shuttle to come and then it was a quick ride to the Fairfield Inn and Suites South. Picked up some water and a couple of soft drinks and into the room by 9:20. Ordered some food from Wendy’s and it was delivered quickly by UberEats. Enjoyed dinner while watching the PIrates game from the MLB Archives site. Great win 4-3 by the Buccos.
Fell into bed around 12:30!
