Great night sleep last night. Today was a buffer day in case something went awry with the flight on the 9th and so did not plan anything except relaxing and preparing for the whirlwind of the tour. Breakfast was decent with selections hard boiled eggs, Swiss spinach quiche (which was actually decent) and some breakfast sandwiches. Nice to see a juice dispenser that was touchless!
After breakfast back to the room to catch up on newspapers, a bit of blogging, and social media. It was too hot to go out and explore in the heat. From what we could tell there was really nothing around the hotel. The Pirates were on this afternoon and so we watched that game until, finally, housekeeping came to clean the room. Took the iPad to the breakfast area and watched the end of the game. Great to win the series against the Brewers thanks to a mammoth home run by Cruz. Bednar gave us a bit of scare at the end, but 8-6 isn’t too shabby.
Headed across the street to Catch of the Day for dinner. It was convenient and had decent reviews.
It was Happy Hour there so cocktails half priced. Started out with a Catch a Margarita.
Started off with a Caesar’s salad (half of which found itself on Earle’s plate), followed by Shrimp Thermidor and I had a the Shrimp Trio that was coconut shrimp, broiled and scampi. Since the drinks were half-priced, decided another was in order.
Sufficiently filled, we headed back to the hotel.
